Overview

The Rani Sui Lake, also known as the Heart Shape Lake, is a stunning alpine lake located in the Manali region of Himachal Pradesh. The lake is known for its distinctive heart shape and pristine beauty. The trek to this lake takes you through picturesque landscapes, dense forests, and grassy meadows. It is a moderate trek that offers a blend of natural beauty and serenity.

Trek History:

The Rani Sui Lake trek is relatively lesser-known compared to other famous treks in Himachal Pradesh, such as the Rohtang Pass or Solang Valley treks. Historically, the lake is associated with local legends, and its heart-shaped structure has often been a symbol of love and purity. “Rani” in Hindi means “Queen,” and it is believed that the lake was named after a queen, though specific details regarding the historical significance of the lake remain vague.

Over time, the trek to Rani Sui Lake has gained popularity among adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers who seek an offbeat experience away from the crowded trekking routes. The lake, located at an altitude of 3,500 meters, is revered by locals and trekkers for its untouched natural beauty.
